THE FUGAZI ARCHIVE

Since 1987, Fugazi, apparently, recorded the majority of its over 1000 live shows. After storing the cassettes (and flyers and photos and related ephemera) in a closet for about 20 years, the band created a fairly comprehensive digital archive - the Fugazi Live Series.

"I’d say it was for posterity, but to what end, we had no idea. As with a lot of collections, once we had a couple hundred tapes, we just continued to amass them. Why stop? We’d already gotten this far."
